On May 31, 2024, Freedom’s Girls Soccer Team played Colgan High School in the Regional Championship game at Freedom High School. Freedom entered the game with an undefeated record of 19-0-0, while Colgan’s was 18-1-0.
The game occurred at 11 A.M. during a school day, with students allowed to attend the game for $5 during their sixth block. With both teams already qualified for the Virginia High School League State Tournament, they were only playing for the Regional Title. Freedom won 2-0, with senior Addy Hess scoring the first goal in the first half and senior Tasmine Nguyen scoring a goal in the second half. Freedom’s next game is Tuesday, June 4, 2024, against Western Branch at 6 P.M, playing in the Quarterfinals for the State Tournament.
