On Aug. 22, 2024, students from Freedom High School returned to school, adjusting to a new schedule and meeting new teachers. The senior class gathered before the school day started to watch the sun rise on their senior year, while all other students came into school on schedule.
A spirit week against Lightridge High School started off the new year, ending with a pep rally and football game on Thursday, Aug. 30. Many students were excited to begin the new year and have hopes for what is yet to come.
“The first day of school was kind of exciting,” said freshman Daniel Shane. “I am looking forward to the clubs this year.”
Freshmen are being introduced to a new school environment different from what they experienced at Lunsford Middle School.
“You get more freedom around here and people treat you as more of an adult,” Shane said.
Students from other grades are looking forward to learning new information at school and growing throughout the year.
“I’m looking forward to learning, getting good grades and meeting new people,” said junior Kyle Wright.
Exciting parts of the school year include pep rallies, spirit weeks and football games, so students are ready to take on the year with school spirit and enjoyment.
“I’m looking forward to pep rallies and football games,” said freshman Carly Van Neiman.
Although the school year comes with a workload, it also comes with a variety of activities that many of the students can participate in. Through academics and school spirited events, students take on the 2024-2025 school year.
