On Oct. 23, from 6-7 p.m. the FHS Orchestras performed their annual fall concert. The orchestras that performed include the Lunsford Orchestra Club, Orchestra II, Orchestra III, and Orchestra IV. The Lunsford Orchestra was conducted by Adrienne Caravan and the FHS Orchestras were conducted by Lillian Green. Most of the songs that were played were Halloween themed with many of the Orchestra members dressed in Halloween costumes to go along with the theme.
The concert started off with the songs “Spiders on the Loose,” “Bats ‘n Bones and Mechanical Monsters,” all performed by the Lunsford Orchestra Club. The concert then continued with orchestras II, III and IV all getting together to perform the song, “The Kraken.” Orchestra II performed the song “La Bruja” with Izzy Huel on bass and Kristine Lee on guitar. Orchestra III played the song “Libertango” and Orchestra IV played the first, fourth and fifth movement of “Suite Im Alten Style” (Aus Holbergs Zeit) with Julia Li on violin and Adam Choi on viola. The concert ended with the very popular song Thriller which was performed by Orchestras III and IV with Jacob Reeves on drums and narrated by Darnell Barbour.
