Freedom High School Track Team at the Annual Virginia Showcase

Girls 4×200 shortly after qualifying for regionals

On Jan. 17-18, 2025, athletes from the Freedom High School indoor track and field team were selected to compete in the annual VA Showcase meet at Virginia Beach. Athletes from all around the United States competed in this competition, including olympian Quincy Wilson as well as other national qualifiers. 

Below are all the athletes that competed:

Girls 4x200m relay: Ashley Bronowicz , Aliana Coleman, Isabella Brant, Emilia Hummel 

Boys 55 meter dash: Nate Daneburg 

Girls 55 meter dash: Rachael Phillips, Ayana Behl, Bella Brant 

Championships boys 55 meter dash: Josh Johnson

Boys 3200 meter race: Carson Rico, Ebenzer Temesgen, and Aneesh Kandimalla Championship boys 3200 meter race: Greg Borden

Boys 1000 meter race: Noel Madda 

Boys shot put: Andrew Koch, Gunnar Baker, Aram Bamyr 

 

Records and Qualifications:

Girls 4×200: regional qualifiers

Bella Brant: 2nd all time in Freedom history 

Josh Johnson: tied his personal school record, 10th in the meet

Nate Danburg: 2nd all time in Freedom History

Greg Borden: New PR school record holder, 7th in the meet

Carson Rico: qualified for regionals, 3rd all time in Freedom history 

Ebenezer Temesgen : 8th all time in Freedom history

My name is Aliana Coleman, and I am a junior at Freedom. This is my second year on [Uncaged.]. As a Freedom student, I have participated in BSA, cross country and track. Outside of school, I have many hobbies such as cooking, traveling and writing. I am very excited for this year on [Uncaged.]!
