The Black Student Association hosted their ice cream social on April 23. A club at Freedom dedicated to building a tight-knit community among the Black students at Freedom. Everyone can join and be active within the club. They host many interactive events and meetings, such as their ice cream socials, potlucks and field trips. During the ice-cream social, they begin their meeting with interactive and fun games, along with an informative presentation. BSA is an affinity group within Freedom High School. They highlight black influence and students within the school through their assemblies, which is usually done during Black History Month. Meetings such as this ice cream social bonds members within BSA closer as well as those who were invited to participate.
