While the regular season is wrapping up, the Freedom Varsity Cross Country team is only getting started. On Oct 24, Freedom’s Boys and Girls Varsity runners ran in the district 5A race. With perfect weather and a course in good condition, the team was set for a perfect race day. The FHS boys cross country team received second place with senior Sam Koltisko, junior Dan Gittelman and junior Clark Smith taking the top three spots on the team. The FHS girls cross country team received second place with sophomore Abby Church, freshman Mackenzie Keller and sophomore Maya Porter finishing in the top three for Freedom.
