On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Freedom High School Theatre Department held a dress rehearsal for its upcoming musical, “Tuck Everlasting.”

The musical was about a young girl, Winnie Foster, who desperately wishes to go see the fair that has come into town. However, when her mother disapproves, she runs away into the woods and stumbles upon Jesse Tuck, a man with the secret to immortality. Intrigued, she meets the rest of the Tuck family, who are also immortal, and spends the night in their home. However, Jesse sees the longing in Winnie’s eyes to go to the fair and together, they sneak out at night to go visit the fair. At the fair, the Man in the Yellow Suit realizes that Jesse is immortal and tries his best to gain the secret to immortality. It is now up to Winnie and Jesse to protect the secret and Jesse’s family from being exposed.

The play will run from Feb. 22-24.
