On Oct. 16, 2024, Freedom’s chorus department held their first concert of the year.
It consisted of 5 songs: Double Trouble sang by the combined choir, All The Way Home sang by the treble choir, Homeward Bound sang by the bass choir, Take Me To The Water sang by Bella Voce and Love Is Love Is Love Is Love sang by the combined choir and audience. The combined choir gave the audience the line, “Love Is Love Is Love Is Love,” while they sang the other parts of the song. There were multiple genres of music from rock to soul, inducing many different emotions from the audience. Following the concert, Anna Chance, Alto 1, Tanya Kusuma, Alto 2 and Maadhavan Iyer, Bass 1 were announced as Senior Honors Choir Delegates.
Since the beginning of the school year, students in all choirs have been learning and working on their music. Choirs are separated by voice and advancement.
“My favorite part of the concert was singing Homeward Bound as I felt like I knew that song the best and it was fun to hear my friends do their solos,” said junior Max Dobish, a bass choir member. “I enjoy coming together after all the work we do separately to hear the final result which is usually quite impressive.”
