Freedom’s Helping Other People Everyday (HOPE) Club hosted the annual Hope Dance for students in special education on April 8, 2025. This year was the first to have all 17 LCPS high schools attend. Stations with tattoos, sensory boxes and food were run with the help of volunteers. Students were given glow sticks to go with the theme Let’s Glow.
“A young man from Dominion High School walked across the gym to the Tuscarora High School table and quietly asked a sweet young lady to dance,” said Patricia Lodi, HOPE Club sponsor. “They held hands, and danced slowly for two songs. It was a beautiful moment for many of us teachers.”
Moments like these show the spirit of the HOPE Dance, where all students from different schools come together and connect.
