Freedom’s Varsity girls lacrosse: Cologan game review

On March 15, Freedom High School’s  girls varsity lacrosse team played Cologan High School. Junior Emily Maier scored the first goal of the game within the first 10 minutes. The team scored two more goals during the first half, scored by sophomore Allison Ohri and  junior Julia Riley. 

The second half kicked off with a score of 7-5, Cologan in the lead. After two more goals, made by Ohri and Maier, the game was tied up at 7-7. The pressure continued to build up, as both teams scored another goal, and FHS called a time out.

Following the time out, Maier won the draw and passed to Ohri, who successfully scored and gave FHS the lead. While they girls give it their all, Cologan is still able to regain the lead. As the last minutes of the game plays out, Cologan ran the clock down, ending the game with a score of 13-11.
