On May 3, the Freedom’s girls tennis team played in the district finals against Battlefield High School at Gainesville. The two schools have had a long standing rivalry, with both teams continuously making it to the district finals.
However, Battlefield had become the district champions during the 2023 season, leading to an even fiercer competition in the current season. Freedom’s team started the game with a score of 2-4 against Battlefield, but ended strong with a final score of 5-4, winning them the title of district champions for the 2024 season.
